American Arbitration Association - International Centre for Dispute Resolution Foundation Inc. Issues Nineteen Grants for Third Funding Cycle
Now Accepting Initial Descriptions of Grant Requests for Fourth Funding Cycle: ADR for Communities and Vulnerable or Underserved Populations


NEW YORK, NEW YORK, May 18, 2018 –The AAA-ICDR Foundation® is now accepting Initial Descriptions of Grant Requests for its fourth funding cycle. In its review the Foundation will be focusing on innovative and replicable proposals that provide:
- ADR for vulnerable and underserved populations
- ADR for community focused dispute resolution.
The Foundation remains committed to funding high quality innovative programs in furtherance of its broader mission.
Interested organizations or individuals should submit a 1-2-page Initial Description of Grant Request no later than October 5, 2018. Go to www.AAAICDRFoundation.org for process and forms including the pre-recordedInformational Webinar Initial Grant Descriptions.
The Foundation will be hosting a brief Q&A call on September 18th from 3:00 – 3:30pm ET regarding the initial description process to answer any questions from potential grantees. Call-in details will be posted on the Foundation website in early September.
The AAA-ICDR Foundation is funding nineteen grants in its third funding cycle totaling over
$500,000. The Foundation received over ninety Initial Descriptions of Grant Requests. The Foundation, after a careful review of all of the submissions and the presentation of full grant proposals, approved a collection of grants promoting innovation in ADR, facilitating dialogues among diverse groups as well as supporting contributions of research and training to the field of conflict resolution domestically and internationally. The American Arbitration Association (AAA®) and its international division, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR®), announced the establishment of the AAA-ICDR Foundation in May 2015. The Foundation Board: James E. Coleman, Jr., Eric D. Green, James R. Jenkins, India Johnson, John J. Kerr, Jr., Carolyn Lamm, Francis McGovern, Bruce Meyerson, Scott S. Partridge, Lawrence Susskind and Board Chair Edna Sussman along with AAA-ICDR support staff have been hard at work in both the areas of grant making and fundraising. The Foundation is 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization separate from the AAA-ICDR.
