AAA-ICDR Foundation Announces Additional Funds to Support US College Campus Response to Effects of Violence in Middle East

AAA-ICDR Foundation Board awards additional Rapid Response Grants to BridgeUSA and Sustained Dialogue Institute to create student and campus focused resources for leaders dealing with increased Antisemitism and Islamophobia on campus as a result of violence in Israel and Gaza.

In response to the increasing Antisemitism and Islamophobia on college campus’, the AAA-ICDR Foundation made an initial grant to the Divided Community Project at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law to launch a new initiative focused on serving campus communities to promote dialogue in the face of intense emotional impact to the violence in the Middle East.  To further the reach of the campus response, the AAA-ICDR Foundation announces additional Rapid Response Grants of $40,000 each to BridgeUSA and Sustained Dialogue Institute. For a total commitment of $150,000 across these three organizations.

BridgeUSA is a student-led organization whose purpose is to build a Bridge community -- one in which students from across the ideological spectrum can engage as a group working together to understand--to bridge--the various perspectives behind the important political and social issues of our time. This grant will support increased reach of student dialogues on campus, scale of chapters nationwide and communication of success stories.

Sustained Dialogue Institute develops leaders able to transform differences into the strong relationships essential to effective decision-making, democratic governance, and peace. This grant seeks to increase campus readiness to support facilitated conversation in response to the conflict and the surrounding hate as well as to building new infrastructure and capacity to support growth.

The AAA-ICDR Foundation is proud to support these three organizations in their efforts to promote peaceful dialogues and understanding on campus communities nationwide.
