S. Pierre Paret,  Vice President for Government Relations for the American Arbitration Association.

Pierre Paret is Vice President for Government Relations for the American Arbitration Association.

In this role, he is responsible for federal and state legislative, regulatory, and policy matters, as well as the development of government ADR programs. He has played a key role in developing ADR mechanisms in collaboration with Congress, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Communications Commission, and other agencies. He has also authored numerous articles and spoken on ADR, legislation, and government policy, and co-authored several reports and white papers on government relations issues.

Before joining the AAA, he served as spokesperson and media coordinator for the D.C. office of a presidential campaign, and had significant media experience, with numerous appearances on television news and political programs -- both domestic and international -- as an expert on federal government and political issues.

Pierre earned a B.A. in international relations from the American University in Washington, D.C.
