Eric Tuchmann is Senior Legal Advisor for the AAA-ICDR, where he leads several policy-related projects that impact the AAA-ICDR and the field of alternative dispute resolution.

Previously, Mr. Tuchmann served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at the AAA-ICDR, overseeing operations, providing strategic leadership, and managing legal and regulatory matters. He contributed to the drafting and development of numerous arbitration and mediation rules, guidelines, protocols, and ethical codes. He also managed the organization’s domestic and international litigation and government affairs at both the state and federal levels. Additionally, he served as counsel of record for amicus curiae briefs submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts.

During his tenure, Mr. Tuchmann led the AAA’s International Centre for Dispute Resolution, guiding its operations and strategy. He launched the ICDR’s case management center in Singapore and expanded its reach throughout Asia, and provided leadership to AAA-ICDR educational services, thought leadership, and other operations.

Mr. Tuchmann is a Vice President on the International Federation of Commercial Arbitral Institutions’ Council, an Advisor for the Justice Tech Association, and he received the Outstanding International Corporate Counsel Award from the American Bar Association’s International Law Section in 2003.

He is a member of the AAA-ICDR Foundation’s Board of Directors.
